Well it's been a while since my first official blog post, but I'm back. I'm trying this again. It's hard to be disciplined enough to write every day. I don't even like writing. LOL
Anyway, on this not so wonderful journey with food sensitivities/allergies/intolerances I have chosen to look at is as a blessing in disquise. We are healthier for it. Hence the "Gone Primal" title. We are trying to be Paleo as much as possible. It's hard, but I have to say it is worth the effort. I feel like a whole new person. More energy, eating less because I stay full longer, less sugar cravings, my skin and hair look awesome, but most importantly I am losing weight without any exercise!!! Awesome, I know.
The more I read and learn about the Paleo lifestyle, the more I am enjoying it. My kids on the other hand, not so much. Don't get me wrong the have always been great eaters. My oldest will choose mixed berries over a piece of cake any day. She also loves raw veggies, even spinach. My youngest' favorite food is avocadoes and green beans, so we were off to a good start.
My hope for our new journey into the Paleo lifestyle, is that we for one get healthy and more active, but also that my children will learn something from it. I want to have our own garden. I want them to learn the importance of growing your own foods and cooking from scratch. Knowing where your food comes from and what's in it. Cooking and gardening is kind of a lost art in my generation. Luckily, the woman in my family are AWESOME cooks and have taught me along the way. I hope you will join us in our journey. Take the leap yourselves and get healthy and active. Start a family garden. Teach your kids some cooking skills. Go for a daily walk, throw a ball in the yard, or just do something together outside.
GOD Bless!!!
